This song is dedicated to the complete and fantastic october 2006 group of volunteers together with the Cross Borders crew; and here the song goes... ...

Refrein:
Yes, we’ve crossed our borders
Yes, we’ve crossed our borders
Yes, we’ve crossed our borders these days……
Yes, we’ve crossed our borders
Yes, we’ve crossed our borders
With Bhimsen, Suman, Ramesh and Rene
…………... ………... AND AJAY!!!
(And for Jimmy: a low voiced) NAMASTEEEE!!!!!!!

Nenna went to Hemjakot
Was there on her own
Troubles with her health
Feeling so alone
But she kept on going
Feeling not that strong
But never giving up
Crossing her borders on her own.

Edith had a rough time
Kalanki was not cool
But helped a little dove girl
With a better school
Bitten in her ass
The monkey was too rude
A few days cure in Pokhara
She crossed her borders too.

Refrein...

Coby’s place was Kathmandu
A place so terribly cold
She went here to the Airport school
A spot so awful old
There you start a project
School is renovate
Coby, you’ve crossed so many borders
I think you’re really great.

Mirjam stayed in Dhading
A wonderful place to be
Kanchhi was your partner there
Living with the family
The two of you had lots of fun
But worked so very hard
You’ve crossed your borders all the way
GIVE ME A BREAK! TOO MUCH MAN!! is all I want to say!

Refrein...

Marjanne stayed in Pokhara
At the Tibetan school
Now you DO remember
Christmas-time was cool
Tumbling down the terrace
Yes, it was really you
Trekking after a couple of days
You’ve crossed your border too!

Judith stayed in Chitwan
Far away from here
Got assault by some horny local
Having little fear
Then you stayed in Sankhu
My roomy, that was cool
Sprained your ankle up in Dhading
Crossing borders too!

Refrein...

Nicolette was there in Chitwan
A spot so far away
Showers in the village-center
People watched and stared
Food was very poisoned
Sinterklaas was there
Celebration in the clinic
You’ve crossed your borders there!

Annelies was on the mountain
Dhading was her place
Organized a special Christmas
With Maili, full of grace
Now you’re leaving Nalang
You’ve crossed your borders there
And Shiva is staying on the mountain
Life’s sometimes unfair.

Refrein...

Hanneke worked in Astam
Where beer is less provide
You’re thinking of a drama-project
Wow, you must feel pride
She danced like no one else can do
With our friend Matties
Sleeping in one bed-room
Girl, you’ve crossed your borders too!

Rixt, her place was Kalanki
Not an easy spot
Also worked at DNC
The children, she loved a lot
Now so much in love with Ram
He’s such a lovely guy
Together now, you are crossing borders
"Meid, je maakt me blij!"

Refrein...

Malou is almost Nepali
She stayed here for so long
Contact center and the hostel
Nothing did go wrong
Daalbhaat-queen and a tattoo
You’re fully integrate
You’ve crossed so many borders
Now, I’m waiting for a date!

Matties was working up in Astam
With Hanneke, what a crew
Falling out the boat with rafting
But fell in love with Su
He even drove a motor-bike
He did some paraglide
Crossed his borders all the way
With Su-Anne at his side.

Refrein...

Mirte, she is special
I like to look at you
Especially when you’re dancing
All the movements look so good
At the Airport school you’ve worked so hard
It’s almost renovate
You’ve crossed so many borders, girl
---NOW LENNART, STILL 5 DAYS?!!
She can hardly wait!

Jacinta went to Pokhara
At the Tibetan school
She loved Sabita-mam so much
And Mountain house was cool
Nabita Sunar near the bridge
So very much in need
You’ve crossed your borders quite a lot
With all the things you did.

Refrein...

And last, not least, there is Su-Anne
I don’t know where to start
She was saving Marjanne's life
She’s playing now guitar
Ajay’s leg is rescued
And now you are in love
You’ve crossed so many borders, dear

Now let's all sing at last:

Yes, we’ve crossed our borders
Yes, we’ve crossed our borders
Yes, we’ve crossed our borders these days……
Yes, we’ve crossed our borders
Yes, we’ve crossed our borders
With Bhimsen, Suman, Ramesh and Rene
…………... ………... AND AJAY!!!
(And for Jimmy: a low voiced) NAMASTEEEE!!!!!!!

Nawoord van the composer himself, Henk......

Dear, dearest Cross Borders-members!

Kathmandu is boaring and dull now!
I don't like it anymore. It is about 3 weeks and almost everyone is gone.
What to do in Kathmandu when there is no Kathman-crew?
I wanna go home......
I wanna go home.......
Oooooohhhh....I wanna go home.......

But first:
• I'll have a breakfast at Pumpernickels'
• Drink a beer at La Bistro (opposite of Dolce Vita)
• Have a massage
• Do a trek next week in the Langtang-area
• Enjoy the streets of London....I mean Thamel
• Have a last, really my last beer at Nieks' Place (for this morning....)
• Play some pool at Tom&Jerry's........................

Oh boy....I love Kathmandu!!!!!

I hope there will be a huge bandh ('staking') for weeks starting at Feb 22nd, that there will be a shortage of kerosene for months, so no plane is able to take off.....

Hoping everybody is doing fine,
big hug,
Henk (ik ben vandaag zo vrolijk, zo vrolijk, zo vrolijk, ik ben vandaag zo vrolijk, zo vrolijk was ik nooit........)

Nawoord van de editor;
but Henk left on 22nd Feb, by a jet plain,
and we don’t know when he’s coming back again…...!!
